Rev. Marian Whiteman

RevMarian.jpgThe first defining moment of my life was when I came home from Sunday School as a three year old, set up my dolls and teddy bears and preached. The dye was cast.  I was an ardent student all my life and proceeded to teach, write, direct plays, conduct adult seminars and serve in churches in one capacity or another.  It was a great joy in the summertime to take my four young children along with me to a little mountain church where I conducted services as a lay minister.

Currently I am a busy Practitioner and Pastoral Care Minister. As a Chaplain, I work at Desert Regional Hospital and am a member of the Palm Springs Chaplaincy Corps, which takes me into nursing and rehabilitation homes.  Some of the things that bring Beauty to me are chances to give voice to Intentions, experience little things, and see possible goals become real. I believe that the spoken word and the written word have Power, and that we are all here to enable the Divine Purpose of the Universe to unfold.
